YouTube manager — Privacy policy
This policy covers YouTube manager on desktop YouTube. Data is processed for the viewing tools described below. The extension has no NewJin Soft data-collection server, analytics SDK or remote advertising script.
Information and purpose
The extension processes YouTube page content, video/channel URLs and IDs, titles, avatars, subscriber and view counts, publication dates and duration to organize panels, show information and control playback. Local records include preferences, channel speeds and bookmarks with timestamps, notes, creation dates and local identifiers. Identifiers distinguish records; they are not advertising IDs. A–B repeat and remaining-time calculations use the current video. The extension does not read general browsing history through Chrome’s history API.
YouTube requests
Missing information is requested over HTTPS from YouTube video and channel pages. Avatars load from YouTube hosts, including yt3.ggpht.com and yt3.googleusercontent.com. These services receive ordinary request data such as the IP address, browser headers and requested video/channel ID. Same-origin requests may carry existing YouTube session cookies; the extension does not read or export cookies, passwords or authentication tokens. Google’s policies apply to YouTube services.
Storage and deletion
Bookmarks, notes, preferences and channel speeds stay in chrome.storage.local on your device; they are not uploaded to NewJin Soft or synchronized with chrome.storage.sync. Temporary caches remain in memory. The persistent listing cache holds at most 400 entries; entries older than seven days expire when accessed or maintained. Edit/delete bookmarks and remove channel speeds in All settings or the relevant video tools. Reset settings restores global speed, panel width, selected tab and bottom space, keeping bookmarks, channel profiles and cached metadata. Records remain until changed, deleted or removed by uninstalling the extension. Their security depends on your device and Chrome profile; NewJin Soft staff cannot access them through the extension. Search filters and bottom space are stored locally. Searches send your query and selected filters directly to YouTube; the extension does not save search queries. Clear saved filters separately in All settings. Search period filters use available page dates and cached metadata. Home also uses the existing video information service to request missing upload times or lengths directly from YouTube. Shared requests and caching avoid duplicate lookups.
Affiliate advertisements
Bundled banners are labeled affiliate advertisements. Displaying them loads no remote advertising script. Clicking opens the advertiser’s or affiliate platform’s website with fixed affiliate parameters and may redirect to another page. Those sites receive ordinary request data and may use cookies under their own policies. No saved bookmark, note, preference or browsing-history report is attached. Purchases are optional; NewJin Soft may earn a commission from eligible purchases.
Limited use
Extension data is used only for the disclosed viewing features. It is not sold, used or transferred for unrelated purposes, credit or lending decisions, or personalized advertising. Third-party requests are limited to providing these features and navigation requested by you. Use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Support and changes
If you contact support by email or the store support hub, we receive the content you choose to send and use it to respond; this is separate from the extension’s automatic operation. Avoid sensitive information in notes and support messages. We update this policy and store disclosures when data practices change, and revise the effective date.
Interest collections
Collections, channel memberships, watched marks and a bounded video cache stay in this browser. While using collections and subscription lists, the extension automatically reads YouTube channel pages and necessary video metadata. No NewJin Soft server transfer, separate login or analytics is added.
Collections can store up to 100 topics and 1,000 channels. The video cache holds up to 80 channels with 120 videos each; older cache entries and watched marks beyond the latest 3,000 are removed as new ones are saved. Removing a channel clears its cached videos. Watched marks can be cleared on video cards. Uninstalling clears all extension records; resetting basic settings keeps collection data.
